Rev. Harry is a native of northeastern Pennsylvania. he graduated from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky with a degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduating from college, Rev. Harry became a school teacher with Orange County Schools in Hillsborough, NC. He received the call to the ordained ministry, graduating from Divinity School at Duke University in 1994. He has served as associate minister at Highland UMC in Raleigh, NC, Franklinton UMC in Franklinton, NC, and for the past ten years, he has served as the pastor of Trinity UMC in downtown Raleigh, NC. In addition to his pastorates, Rev. Harry has served as Chaplain to the North Carolina House of Representatives in the General Assembly for the past thirteen years.
Rev. Harry enjoys Southern Gospel music and for ten years has sung lead in the Southern Gospel Quartet, Carolina Grace.
He also enjoys running, biking and swimming, reading crime/thriller novels, and is a huge fan of taking naps.
Rev. Harry and his wife, Robin, have been married for nine years. Between them, they have four children: Luke, 31; Chelsea, 27; Tyler, 19; and Ellen, 15.
