Our Associate Pastor, Rev. Elizabeth Ann Gaines, is a provisional elder who joined the St. Paul UMC staff in June 2009. Beth holds a Master of Divinity from The University of the South-Sewanee and a BS degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Her undergraduate work included a major in English, and minors in Music/Vocal Performance and Childhood Development.
Before coming to St. Paul, Beth served as Pastor of four churches - two in North Carolina and two in Tennessee. She has also been a music director, a children's program director, a director of ministries, and has been on staff with the district office.
Beth is married to Bill who remodels homes when he is not fishing. Bill is also a member of the NC State Guard.Bill and Beth have three children, although the house and yard are frequently filled with many more. Sarah Grace is in high school. She loves her cell phone and is excited about the upcoming, life-changing event of driving. Hannah Faith is in middle school and loves softball, volleyball and cats. Luke is all boy and loves baseball, scouts and biking. All three are honor students who are accomplished in academics, music and texting. One of the family's favorite things is company - so ya'll come on over! Bring ice cream!
