Remember Gray Southern?

Have you heard the news about our former Associate Pastor Gray Southern? The North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church has nominated Gray to serve in the office of Bishop. That is about as high a rank as it gets in the Methodist Church. Gray is both humbled and honored to be nominated. If elected, he would not actually serve in North Carolina but would instead lead another Conference in the southeastern United States. Gray is one of approximately 10 nominees to fill 5 positions.
To promote Gray as their nominee, the Conference will spend approximately $7,000 to $10,000 to “introduce” Gray to the delegates of the Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference. The funds will be used for mailings, video productions, and publications. To that end, the Conference is asking that anyone who wishes make a contribution to this effort to get Gray elected. If you would like to help him, please make a check out to “North Carolina Conference, United Methodist Church” and put “Episcopal Nominee” on the memo line. The check should be mailed to Christine Dodson, Conference Treasurer, PO Box 1970, Garner NC 27529.
Additionally, please keep Gray in your prayers in the months ahead. The actual election will occur this summer. He will certainly be grateful for the prayers and support from his old friends from St. Paul.

Join the AUDIO/VIDEO TEAM!
We need additional people to join an amazing group of people who work behind the scenes to make sure our worship services and events are seen and heard! If you have A/V experience, great; if not, don’t worry. We will teach you all you need to know. It’s easy and you may only need to help out once a month. We have two major venues: the Fellowship Hall working with Contemporary Worship and the Sanctuary working with Traditional Worship. We have needs in both areas, plus we need additional help to edit the TV broadcast. Contact Bill Gaines or Brian Gurley for more information.
A MASSIVE UPGRADE! Over the past few weeks we have been upgrading the audio and video systems in the Fellowship Hall. The video system is complete and the additional sound upgrades should be installed this week. These upgrades and been sorely needed and a little costly.
Please help us offset the cost of these projects by marking your donations: ST. PAUL AV.
We are also adding new speakers under the balcony of the sanctuary to boost the signal from the main speakers. We are constantly working to improve and upgrade our systems to make all worship experiences the best they can be.
Be sure to thank all those who serve on the AV TEAM!

We need donations to make this space ready for our youth. Can you help? See Brian for more details.
