...is coming May 20 at 6 PM. This is our honored tradition where we celebrate our graduating senior high students. If your high school graduate has not been contacted, please let us know ASAP! Get ready, because this is going to be WILD!
This Week at UMYF
It’s SENIOR SPECTACULAR Sunday! That’s right; the time we celebrate our graduating seniors in a wild, fun and exciting way. We have picked a really great theme this year and we know the grads will love it! The youth group will gather at 2pm this Sunday to set up this event and the graduates and their families and friends are welcome to arrive just before 6pm. (We will begin right at 6pm.) We ask that all youth bring a veggie and or desert covered dish to this event. We’ll have fried chicken, but need everything else. If you have any questions, contact Brian or anyone on the SS Leadership Team.

Senior Mark & Passing the Torch
Next Sunday, May 27, we will have the annual Senior Mark and Passing of the Torch at UMYF…plus something else really fun! The Senior Mark is a decorated ceiling tile by each graduate that will be raised into place during UMYF. This gives the grads a lasting mark in the Youth Suite for years to come. Also during this time, the senior will PASS THE TORCH to the next class and offer advice. Don’t miss this fun UMYF!

Are you getting all in the information we are sending out? We send TEXTS, emails and post cards. But if you aren’t getting them, something must be wrong. Give us a call and we will correct our records. Everyone should be in this CRAZY LOOP!
Feed My People!
We only have five more Snack Suppers to cover for this school year. Would you host a SNACK SUPPER on Sunday night at UMYF? It’s simple and we will provide all the paper goods and drinks. We ask that each youth contribute $2 for supper. The host family can use the money collected to offset their expenses for the meal or donate that money back to Youth Ministry. If you need us to pay any balance leftover for the meal – we can do that too! Just call Brian at 864.376.4046 or 919.734.2965 for more information.
Youth Mission Trip- are you going?
TIME TO COMMIT!
It’s time to commit to the annual YOUTH MISSION TRIP, July 15-21. All high school and college youth may sign up. We will return to the Charleston, SC area and work with Habitat on James Island. The base cost is $350 for the entire week. But, that doesn’t include any fund raising money! Last year we were able to knock this number way down. To sign up, just send Brian an email and he’ll send you an online link. It’s that easy!
High-tech ministry!!
Just when you thought our Youth Ministry was pretty high tech, we added another high tech element. Last week we added new tracking software—we can now track all of our attendance and events. We can now see who’s coming and who’s not coming and what time they log into UMYF and what time they log out. This allows us to keep a closer connection with our people. Plus, Youth Ministry volunteers can access it online. Soon youth can sign up and pay for events and trips all on-line. Contact Brian for more information!

Drink/Snack Machine
There is a drink and snack machine in the Youth Suite to ease your cravings. Help yourself to a nice selection of drinks and snacks. We even have a dollar changer. All the funds raised go the Youth Fund. So, drop those quarters!
Youth Ministry Needs:
- A new basic dishwasher in our kitchen.
- A new basic refrigerator w/ ice maker.
- New laminate flooring for hallway. (approx. 151 sq feet)
- New drop ceiling for hallway w/ lighting. (Approx. 151 sq feet)
T-shirts
We have added another UMYF shirt design to our new clothing line. Check it out this week. These shirts aren’t just for youth. Everyone can buy one—or twelve!
