A New Organ!

The new organ is IN!

CELEBRATE MOTHER'S DAY! Bring your mother, wife, and daughters to the ORGAN DEDICATION CONCERT on Mother's Day, Sunday May 13 at 4 PM. The fabulous virtuoso organist, Felix Hell, will play and demonstrate our Rodgers-Ruffatti organ.  This is a customary part of the process, that the church introduces it's wonderful new organ to the public with a premier by a well established artist. With Mr. Hell's virtuosity and artistic sensitivity, we will hear the organ demonstrated to it's fullest capacity. The concert is free to the public, a gift to our congregation from a private donor and member of St. Paul, partially funded by R. A. Daffer Organ Co. It will be promoted throughout Central and Eastern NC by the AGO. A reception will follow.

RODGERS is the leading builder of digital and pipe combination instruments since 1958. They place organs of every size in churches, schools, and universities throughout the world, and are highly respected, working with the American Guild of Organists, promoting young artists and the future of organ music. At the R. A. Daffer website, you may hear sound bites of famous organists playing great instruments made by Rodgers and Ruffatti. You may see pictures of the new organ at Salisbury UCC in NC. When Woody and I visited the Ruffatti pipe organ "factory" in Italy, the Salisbury organ pipes and St. Paul organ pipes were side by side, freshly made and sparkling!

RUFFATTI is one of the largest pipe organ builders in the world, still using old world craftsmanship for every aspect of each instrument. Ruffatti pipe organs are known for their brilliant clear tones. At the Ruffatti website, you can see video of the entire process of pipe organ building from the ground up: engineering, woodwork, metal work, electronics, and more. You can also hear masterful performances on the greatest Ruffatti pipe organs in the world.
