Are you passionate about music? Do you want to deepen your musical talents while growing in your faith? The McPhail Conservatory of Sacred Music invites you to be part of a vibrant community where music and spirit intertwine.

Our Vision

The McPhail Conservatory of Sacred Music at Saint Paul Methodist Church seeks to Build a vibrant community, Educate faithfully, and Minister through the power of music.

We strive to:

  1. Build Community: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds can come together to share their love for music.
  2. Educate Faithfully: Provide high-quality musical education that reflects our commitment to faith and excellence, nurturing both technical skills and spiritual growth.
  3. Minister Musically: Use music as a means to inspire, heal, and uplift, offering performances that resonate with the soul and strengthen our collective faith.

What We Offer

  • Lessons offered through ministry!
    • Our School is Donation Based & non-profit
    • Curriculum & Books are provided!
    • Lessons for Ages 4 & up
    • You do not have to be a member of Saint Paul to Enroll!
  • Private Lessons in:
    • Piano
    • Guitar
    • Drum set
    • Organ
    • Voice (individual)
    • Chorus Class: The Conservatory will also feature a primary ensemble called the McPhail Choral Scholars. This will be a vocal choir dedicated to teaching children ages 7-12. Rehearsals will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 4:30pm – 5:15pm. There will not be a fee associated with this ensemble. (This ensemble will be in addition to our Saint Paul Children’s Choir beginning this fall.)
  • Organized Education!
    • The Conservatory will have a semester schedule and run throughout the Fall and Spring Seasons.

The dates for the Semesters are:

  • Semester 1: [Aug. 26th – Dec. 20th]
    • Term 1: Aug. 26th – Oct.18th
    • Term 2: Oct. 21st – Dec. 20th
  • Semester 2: [Jan. 13th – May 17th]
    • Term 1: Jan 13th – March 16th
    • Term 2: March 19th – May 17th
  • Engaging Activities
    • Regular Recitals to showcase student’s talents.
    • School of Music Events!
      • We will have fun school events planned throughout each semester for students to attend!
  • Student Expectations
    • Students will perform one recital at the end of each semester based on their skill level.
    • Students will complete a written proficiency test based on their skill level at the end of each semester.
